Anyone who has been to Turkey will of seen pictures of the Olu Deniz Blue Lagoon. Sat on the southern coast with Babadag mountain looming over it, Olu Deniz has plenty of great value boat trips leaving from its beach and para gliding for the more adventures. Walk along the beach and you come to the famous Blue Lagoon (dead sea) which is a nature reserve with shallow warm water and amazing wild life some of it swimming by your feet. However you do have to pay to enter.
What I personally prefer is if you follow the road to your right you come to some better privately run beaches all on the north side with better beaches and bars and restaurants.
Olu Deniz itself is a pure tourist resort with some amazing hotels of all price ranges. Its a bit too touristy for me but well worth a visit for the shops, bars and restaurants. Try sitting upstairs in Buzz bar or Help bar for some amazing views.
A really great place to sit and watch the sun set with an Efes.
